ImprovingMIpractices.org (IMP) is a website created to support the build of capacity and consistency within the Michigan public behavioral health workforce. IMP offers an expansive collection of online courses, information, and resources. This free, high-quality material is the result of collaborative efforts to provide accessible online and blended courses, a behavioral health Encyclopedia, and other resources helpful to behavioral health providers.

Available within the site is a wide range of new and continuing education tools intended to raise awareness and to support the recovery efforts of individuals and families facing the challenges of mental illness and substance abuse disorders. The development of new courses, current course updates, and redevelopment of older courses continue to support workforce capacity within the public behavioral health workforce in specialty, evidence-based, best and promising practices.

IMP is focused on providing actionable, educational resources for behavioral health professionals and agencies alike, because receiving treatment from knowledgeable, skilled and well-prepared providers enhances the prospects of recovery and living a meaningful life in one’s own community.
