As part of that introduction, the course expert has designed this first course to provide an overview of trauma-informed care and the importance of understanding why staff needs a trauma-informed environment.

Core Values of Trauma-Informed Care

This course does provide the participants with the core values of trauma-informed care including safety, collaboration, and empowerment. These values should be upheld throughout the agency and should help to decrease secondary trauma throughout the agency.

Assessing Your Agency

The course expert will provide evidence-based best practices for conducting an initial assessment of your agency. This course will also provide proven methodologies for identifying any problem areas in your agency as it relates to trauma-informed care.

Additional Considerations
