The Video Assessment of Simulated Encounters - Revised is 30 minute interactive instrument for measuring the degree of competency of Motivational Interviewing Knowledge and skills. It can be taken as a pre-post test, or periodically to show change.

Participants watch the video and write a response as instructed to each vignette.  Upon completion the response is forwarded to a scorer who returns the outcome to the participant with demonstration of their strengths according to the VASE-R and with technical assistance suggestions for areas where improvements in skills are needed.
