Status of Change

The third (3) part of this five (5) part series discusses Prochaska's Status of Change in the framework of providing behavioral health services to clients in Michigan. This section does focus on building the appriate relationship with clients to help reduce resistance. 

Use of Language and Specific Techniques for Reducing Resistance?

The continuation of this course provides specific evidence-based research regarding the type of language used that can hinder the progress of therapy with resistant clients. This course will also provide the participants with specific techniques to reduce this resistance including using body language and the pentameter of the phrases used in the therapy session.
